Background: Founded in 1964, MQU has more than 70 buildings spread across 150 hectares at Macquarie Park in Sydney with a population of 44,000 students and around 6000 staff.
Goal: CCTV upgrade which will see the university’s 900-camera CCTV solution migrated to an external cloud provider within 12 months.
Selection Criteria: Shootout conducted in early 2018 included parameters such as motion blur, bit rate, sharpness, WDR, depth of field,noise, colour rendition in very low light applications, as well as ease of integration with MQU’s Milestone XProtect Corporate VMS.
Result:Panasonic awarded 1st phase of analogue CCTV upgrade for Arts Precinct.

General: Panasonic delivered good all-round images.
Colour Rendition: The night image quality was best in Panasonic while sharpness was better in competitors. With motion blur Panasonic came out best.
Low Light: when all the lights were turned off, performance shifted. With sharpness Panasonic was the best. With depth of field Panasonic was the best. With WDR Panasonic came tops.
