How does it work?
Viewnetcam.com will allow you to create a personalized web address (for example, bob.viewnetcam.com) at which your camera's live video can always be found on the Internet.
Viewnetcam.com service is provided by Panasonic System Communications Company of North America ("PSCNA"), Division of Panasonic Corporation of North America., from January 1,2012.
However, please rest assured that even after the change of service provider you can continuously use "Viewnetcam.com Service" the same as before without any procedures or additional costs and that the functions of Panasonic Network Camera manufactured by Panasonic i-PRO Sensing Solutions Co., Ltd. which you are using now, don't need to be changed.

Special Software embedded within your i-PRO Network Camera gives your camera the ability to create for itself a unique Internet address. No matter what kind of Internet connection you have or which Internet provider you use, the Viewnetcam.com service will keep your camera's Internet address permanent.
Viewnetcam is our unique Dynamic DNS service for the i-PRO Network Camera products and will allow you to create a personalized web address (for example, bob.viewnetcam.com) at which your camera's live video can always be found on the Internet.
"Viewnetcam.com" is a service that allows the customer to create a personal URL (for example, bob.viewnetcam.com) at which Network Camera's live images can be viewed over the Internet from anywhere in the world.
"Viewnetcam.com" is not an ISP (Internet Service Provider). You need to subscribe to any ISP before using "Viewnetcam.com" service.

You need to follow the steps below for using the Viewnetcam.com service:
Step 1. : Configuration Network Camera By activating DDNS on your camera, your camera will access to Viewnetcam.com server automatically. Viewnetcam.com server will send tentative personal URL and Link information of web site for registration. Also Viewnetcam.com server will send email to you with Link information of web site for registration.
Step 2. : Performing of online user registration
The "Viewnetcam.com service" is available after you complete Step 2.
On the Internet, each node is actually identified by a line of figures called an IP address (for example, 188.8.131.52). Network Camera connected to the Internet is also identified by an IP address. As an IP address is a line of figures, it is difficult to remember. To eliminate that problem, the Viewnetcam.com service applies DNS service that translates domain name into corresponding IP address. Domain names and IP addresses (for example, www. bob.viewnetcam.com [Domain name] -> 184.108.40.206 [IP Address]) is cross-refers over the Internet. This is the DNS service. The Viewnetcam.com service provides DDNS service (Dynamic Domain Name System) enables clients and servers to correspond to the dynamic IP address.
When you use the Internet subscribing to continuous connection Internet service, in most cases a static IP address is not assigned by the ISP. The IP address assigned to you (a dynamic IP address) will change each time you connect. The "Viewnetcam.com" service assigns dynamic IP address with a DDNS service. You can view the images of your Network Camera entering personal URL in the address data field. Usually, when using a static IP address, you need to subscribe to the additional service of your ISP. When using the Viewnetcam.com service, you do not need such additional subscription.
・Some ISPs do not allocate global IP addresses (IP addresses browsable over the Internet).
・If your ISP does not support global IP address, the "Viewnetcam.com" service is not available.
Currently, Viewnetcam.com service does not provide with the service for buffering images, however, you can buffer images in the following manners utilizing the image-buffering-features of each Network Camera:
1) You can have images buffered within Network Cameras. HCM10 and HCM8 can save about 80 normal still images.
2) Utilizing e-mail software pre-installed, you can have images emailed by attaching them to an e-mail message.
3) Utilizing software to record data to a web page through FTP, you can have images transmitted to an FTP server.

Do you use Internet Explorer? Possible cause of this problem is that the encryption protection level of Internet Explorer is low (i.e., the version that doesn't include 128-bit encryption). The encryption protection level can be checked from [Version Information] menu of your INTERNET EXPLORER. If the level is not 128bit, you need to put a Windows High Encryption patch that gives 128-bit encryption. You can obtain the patch from Internet Explorer online support page. Select [Help] and then [Online Support] of INTERNET EXPLORER's menu.

Even if the broadband router is assigned only one IP address, the individual Network Camera can be identified at its unique Port Number over the Internet. (You need to make proper configurations of each Network Cameras.)
If you change the Port No. of the Network Camera from the default, enter "http://(your domain name). viewnetcam.com:(Port No.)/". For example, if the Port No. is changed 8000, the address is http://*****. viewnetcam.com:8000/
The default Port Number is 80. You can select any Port Numbers from 1 to 65535. Please note that some numbers are already booked and used by Network Camera; thus can not be assigned as Port Numbers. Please do not assign following numbers that are booked and used by Network Camera:
•54: HTTP (Normally used for transmission of images from Network Camera)
Numbers smaller than 1024 include booked ports referred to as "Well-known ports". Before selecting numbers smaller than 1024 to assign, you have to be sure to understand "Well-known ports". You may have to change any Port Numbers if some devices other than Network Cameras are connected to the network where the Network Cameras are connected.
If each Network Camera subscribes to!!Viewnetcam.com respectively, it's possible to assign specified domain name to respective Network Camera. In this case also, each Network Camera has to be identified by Port Number. For example, required URLs for Network Cameras are:
First Network Camera: http://panasonic1.viewnetcam.com/
Second Network Camera: http://panasonic2.viewnetcam.com:8000/
The Viewnetcam.com service assigns a domain name to Network Camera. Even if you connect two or more Network Cameras to one broadband router and register only one Network Camera with the Viewnetcam.com service, you can access any of Network Cameras connected to the same broadband router by identifying the specified domain name.
Yes. As two separate stores connect to the Internet respectively, both Network Cameras have to be subscribed with the service.
When two Network Cameras are connected to the Internet via one broadband router, you can use the service by subscribing only one Network Camera.
You have to establish PPPoE connection in order to connect to the Internet when you subscribed to xDSL service. Currently, as Panasonic Network Camera does not support PPPoE connection, Network Camera can not be directly connected to a modem. To solve the problem, you are kindly requested to arrange a broadband router and connect the Network Camera to the broadband router. Configure your broadband router to have either technology enabled, i.e., DMZ address setting or Port forwarding (also called, "local server", "static IP masquerade" or "virtual server"). With this setting, you can access over the Internet, the live images of Network Cameras subordinated to the broadband router (For setup of a broadband router, refer to its operating instructions).
When using Panasonic Network Cameras HCM10 and HCM8, maximum 10 Network Cameras are accessible from your Internet browser at a time; and when using the Network Cameras HCM230 and HCM270, maximum 30 Network Cameras are accessible at a time.

1.Configuration within Network Camera - Port No.Check to identify the Port Number via the Network Configuration window in the Setup CD-ROM. The Port Number is 80 in the default. When Port Number is 80, you can access your Network Camera at http://*****.Viewnetcam.com/. Otherwise, at the end of the URL, you need to add the Port Number you set, for example, when it is set to 8000, enter http://*****.Viewnetcam.com:8000/.
2.Configuration of Default GatewayCheck the setup of Default Gateway of your camera. The address to be set up for Default Gateway is the private IP address of your broadband router.
3.Configuration of DNS Server addressCheck the setup of DNS Server. DNS Server address should be determined according to your ISP's account information.
4.Setup of a broadband router (or a wireless router)When you view the images of your Network Camera over the Internet, the images must be sent from your Network Camera to the Internet through the broadband router. To solve this problem, either DMZ address setting or Port forwarding (also called, "local server", "static IP masquerade", or "virtual server") is required. Configure the broadband router (or a wireless router). Refer to the manual of your broadband router for further information on the configuration.

Encryption strength of the Internet Explorer is low (It is not 128bit).
You can use any alphanumeric and "-" but you can't use "-" for the first and last character. Also max characters are 62.

•Check the status of the camera.
->If it is Active - waiting, turn your modem, router and camera off and on.
•Try to access the camera using the global IP address assigned by your ISP with port number.
->If you cannot, check your setting of Default Gateway and DNS server address and port forwarding (UPnP) on your camera and router.
•The camera informs the IP address assigned by the ISP to Viewnetcam server. It takes 20-30 minutes to reflect the change of IP address to DNS servers in the world. If it is changed, you have to wait for 20-30 minutes after connection.
