60 years ago in 1957,  We have managed to expand our business from Camera Single Product sell-out Biz To System solutions.
And we are now challenging new horizon, Service Biz fully utilizing CLOUD and IoT Technologies.

Panasonic with the Olympic Games

Panasonic began its involvement with the Olympic Games in 1984 in Los Angeles as the supplier of the professional sound system and large video display for the main stadium. The company became a Worldwide Olympic Partner in 1987 when it joined the TOP Programme as a charter member. Panasonic's exclusive product category is Audio, Television, Video equipment, including Car Navigation, and Multimedia Products.
Coming Tokyo 2020,  we will have big responsibility as host country and state-of-the-art solutions will be deployed for Tokyo.

Security Systems to Support the Olympic Games

PyeongChang 2018
In freezing cold temperatures which dropped below minus 20°C, 1,079 Panasonic security cameras helped ensure that the Olympic Winter Games PyeongChang 2018 remained safe and secure both inside and outside the venues.

Rio 2016
At the Olympic Games Rio 2016, Panasonic AV security equipment was used to monitor in and around competition venues and related facilities, as well as airport security checkpoints. Panasonic participated beginning at the design phase of the venues in order to set up a more effective security network, then installed the equipment in appropriate areas.

Sochi 2014
At the Olympic Winter Games Sochi 2014, Panasonic supplied approximately 7,000 security cameras to the Organizing Committee of the Olympic Games. To fully address terrorism concerns voiced ahead of the Opening Ceremony of the Olympic Games , we assisted in the delivery of public safety surrounding the Olympic Games operations with a record number of cameras far exceeding the 2,500 installed at London 2012. Sochi 2014 was a great success without any major problems.

London 2012
At the Olympic Games London 2012, Panasonic supplied a total of 2,500 security cameras across all venues. By monitoring venues and surrounding areas rife with spectators and athletes, we supported the operation of the Olympic Games, an event symbolizing peace.

Vancouver 2010
At the Olympic Winter Games Vancouver 2010, Panasonic’s AV security equipment system watched over the safety of the enthusiastic fans. The Super Dynamic Ⅲ Color Surveillance Camera was set up at the Whistler Sliding Centre. Panasonic AV security equipment system will continue to support the operation of the Olympic Games.
